These are just a bunch of pics I took while doing a workshop at Woodford Folk Festival... I was so buzzing with excitement to have spontaneously found a work shop that I loved the sound of... booked the last spot in it... and then once I arrived and saw what we were going to make was THRILLED TO BITS!!! The teacher, Melanie from Kimono Reincarnate was the best! and... the best thing is... she has a tutorial on her blog if you would like to see step by step 'instructions' on how to make one too!!!!! http://kimonoreincarnate.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/how-to-make-japanese-kanzashi-style.html Melanie had another workshop which I loved.. learning how to make a bunch of different flowers using circles of fabric.. I wished very hard that I had brought a sewing kit with me to the festival after that, so then came home with the 'sewing bug' and made a pinafore from a shirt. ala India Flint style. There is a clever lady at Eumundi market who makes apron dresses out of mens shirts (I visited her stall this week,... am writing this on 24 Jan, but wanted to post date it for my own continuum of events) bye for now,

Books I Love“There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.”
